Assistant Management Accountant

We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our team. Located in the heart of Edinburgh our portfolio contains a collective mix of some of the finest hotels and serviced apartments in the Scottish Capital.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Posting supplier invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Preparation of monthly payment runs
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Credit control
  • Resolving sales ledger/purchase ledger queries
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with VAT returns
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual audit packs
  • Liaising with auditors
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Must have prior experience in an accounting position.

Must be able to use Excel.

A degree in accounting or an AAT qualification is preferred but not essential.

Hotel Receptionist

We are looking for a receptionist to join our team. Located in the heart of Edinburgh our apartments offer modern and stylish self-catering apartments in the heart of the capital with spacious open-plan living areas, striking bedrooms, comfortable seating, dining areas and exclusive use of our stunning rooftop terrace, which offers beautiful panoramic views of Edinburgh’s skyline. Job Responsibilities:

We are currently recruiting a Receptionist to join our small Front of House team. The successful candidate will be friendly, passionate about offering the best guest experience possible and should take pride in their work.

They will also be comfortable with the responsibility of dealing with all aspects of the hotel unsupervised.

Hotel Reception experience is not essential for this role as training will be provided, but experience in a customer-facing role is desirable.

Overview of duties:

  • Offering outstanding guest service by responding promptly to guest questions, complaints and/or requests.
  • Providing a warm and personalised welcome to all guests.
  • Ensuring smooth check-in and check-out – highlighting any issues to the relevant parties.
  • Responsible for the hotel and the safety of those within.
  • Ensuring that all documentation at reception and in the lobby is available and up-to-date.
  • Handing over activities and incidents that occur and liaising with Heads of Departments and Senior Management.
  • Prepare and serve drinks
  • Prepare and serve light bites, such as paninis, toasties, and cakes
  • Ensuring that all public areas and back-office spaces remain clean and tidy.
  • Complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Performing other tasks as deemed necessary for the smooth operations of the hotel or instructed by the management team.

Full-time and part-time contracts available (24/32/40 hrs p/w)
