Back for 2023, the ever-popular Burns & Beyond returns with a programme of art and culture from some of Scotland’s leading performers and musicians.

Taking place from 27 to 29 January, performances confirmed for this year’s festival include:

The Twilight Sad – with 5 studio albums to their name, this band’s sound is described as “folk with layers of noise”. For fans of bold music with a stripped-back performance, this event should not be missed. Performing on the afternoon of 29 January, Adam Holmes and Heidi Talbot sees powerful performances from the Scottish singer-songwriter and traditional folk vocalist.

Comprising fiddles, mandolin and guitar, the uplifting and joyful music of Kinnaris Quintet & Friends perfectly blends traditional music with modern sounds, while fans of Australia’s Grammy-winning Men at Work, will be delighted to hear the melodic sounds of the band’s ex-frontman in An Afternoon with Colin Hay.

A Burns celebration just wouldn’t be the same without a traditional ceilidh, and proving you’re never too young to learn, The Bairns Burns Supper makes a welcome return to this year’s festival. Taking place on the morning of 29 January, all the family can join in this free ticketed event with ceilidh dancing, followed by a Burns Supper.

More events and performances to be announced soon.
